croydon addition - K+R
Brief:
Our brief was to create a sanctuary for a couple with grown children. A space for entertaining family and friends as well as flexible living and working from home arrangements. The design focused on taking advantage of northern sun and creating excellent cross ventilation opportunities where none had existed before. Intensive sun shadow studies allowed maximum ceiling heights at the owners request. With a heavily insulated light weight frame and insulated concrete slab on ground the house stays more comfortable year round.
Owners testimonial:
"We were looking for an architect who would listen to us and think creatively about how to use our space to best effect. DHW met and exceeded the brief - the renovation is so much more than we could have imagined. We felt supported and listened to every step of the way. We appreciated the support throughout the process and the attention to detail that has resulted in our home being a fabulous fit for us now and into the future."
